What a Surprise!

Someone naughty sent me an unexpected pic of controversial Kairy Jamaluddin, son-in-law of Malaysia's Prime Minister and Khairy's charming wife.

So I might as well add in my two-cent worth of thoughts about him here.

The Oxford-educated Khairy is outspoken and has troubling ideas which boggles the minds of many educated Malaysians who believe in universal values such as democracy. Many in civil society would brand him as an extremist for the many past utterances and actions he has made.

This ambitious politician, according to many sources, who is a member of the chauvinistic UMNO, that controls the government ruling the country today, is a rising star who will climb high up the slippery ladder in the political arena.

M’sian religious leaders protest over priest visa cuts
KUALA LUMPUR - NON-MUSLIM religious groups said on Tuesday that Malaysia is refusing to issue new visas for foreign priests, in the latest eruption of ethnic discord in the multicultural nation.

Foreign priests already in the country have only been given six-month renewals and told they must leave after expiry, said the head of the Malaysian Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism.
