Romantic Story (2)

In case any of you cruised by this blog and you're reading this story, let me tell you I'm repeating what I heard from a buddy. This version might therefore be different from what you may have heard or read before.

PART II

The couple was walking towards a cemetery! So he got out of his vehicle and followed... and he saw his girl, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone... and he saw the paper cranes right beside her.

Her parents saw him. He asked them why this had happened. They explained this Chinese girl did not leave for France at all. She was ill with cancer. She had believed he would make it someday, but she did not want to be his obstacle... therefore she had chosen to leave him.

Now remember this important advice, fellow single dating bloggers:

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because if the day comes when fate brings him to her again... he can take some of those back with him... Once you have loved, you will always love. For what's in your mind may escape but what's in your heart will always remain forever.

The guy just wept. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting beside her knowing you can't have her, see her or be with her ever again.

That is such a heartbreaking story.

Imagine being the girl before she died too. Knowing, even in death, that she intentionally hurt the person she loved most even if it's for the better and not having them there with her to support her during her illness. Brave.

I find it hard to believe that years later, the paper cranes are still intact after sitting out in the open ...
