The Vietnam War in Comics (1)

"Seen from the beginning there is nothing mysterious of America's lost third of the century in Vietnam," so begins the splendid narration in Michael Maclear's non-fiction book, Vietnam: The Ten Thousand Day War.

Yes, here's a special issue of a Vietnam comic that I treasure. Its artwork is by none other than the great American artist, Stan Lee of the Spiderman cartoon fame. From combat to love, Lee has extensively dabbled in these topics and others like the famous superheroes ones.

In the days ahead, I will pay tribute to this individual who fires up the imaginations of millions in the world today with his works of fantasy and in the grim Vietnam tragedy, a dose of reality.
